The Blessing Box - Free Food Pantry is located outside the Slickville Civic Center on Main Street.  The Blessing Box contains a multitude of non-perishable food, personal hygiene, and cold weather items when the weather turns cold that are free for the taking.  The Blessing Box is supported by Slickville Presbyterian Church in partnership with the Slickville American Legion (Sons of the American Legion, Women's Auxillary).  The concept behind it is take what you need and donate when you can.  If you would like to support the Blessing Box ministry with a food item, donations can be made directly to the box or left at the front door of the church.  If you would like to support the ministry financially, please go to our giving page and choose blessing box from the drop down menu.

Items accepted in the Blessing Box

•    Canned food, vegetables, and fruits preferably with ring-pulls
•    Boxed meals or food items.
•    Socks (Colder months)
•    Mittens (Colder months)
•    Hand warmers and knit hats (Colder months)
•    Crackers
•    Cereals and pop tarts
•    Toilet paper
•    Non-perishable foods (pasta, sauces, cooking oils, soups, condensed milk, etc.)
•    Bottled water
•    Small snacks
•    Toiletries, including hand soap, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste
•    Baby wipes, diapers, jarred baby food, and infant formula
•    Women’s sanitary pads
